At reception, there is no oversized lobby. A counter, a handed-over key, and sometimes Olivier or a colleague who takes two minutes to point out the right parking lot. You cannot park in front of the hotel: you will need to aim for Hôtel de Ville or La Bourse, a five-minute walk away, a constraint that is ultimately logical in this pedestrian district where everything is done on foot or by metro. The staff, often multilingual, know the area by heart and make sure you know it too, without overdoing it.

The 48 studios and apartments, rated three stars, are spread over several floors. Light-colored parquet flooring, a splash of color here and there, a desk for those who come to work. In one corner, a kitchenette provides the essentials: a fridge, electric hotplates, and a coffee machine that comes in handy (capsules can be bought downstairs at reception before heading back up). On the upper floors, some windows frame a glimpse of the port, the masts gently swaying, the sky changing color in the late afternoon.

In the morning, the breakfast room comes to life around 7:30 a.m. The buffet remains simple, with coffee, pastries, and fruit juice, without claiming to compete with a true Marseille brunch. You spend twenty minutes there, no more, before heading off to the Canebière or the Mucem, a fifteen-minute walk away. For those who prefer to take their time, there is still more than enough to get through the morning.

During the day, the neighborhood is easy to cross. Fort Saint Jean, the cathedral of La Major, the Church of the Augustinians—all can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. In the evening, the lane returns to its calm, the shutters close one by one, and the silence of the nearby Panier gradually takes over the street.

If you are arriving late, remember to notify reception before your arrival: the €100 deposit is paid by card at that time. And coffee awaits as soon as the breakfast room opens, right at 7:30 a.m.
