La Love - Love Room Marseille is distinguished above all by its rather unusual address, at the top of a path that climbs into the city’s heights. The road leading there is narrow, with a few tight bends: it is better to allow an extra five minutes and, for a first visit, to arrive during the day. Once at the top, the view makes up for everything. The city stretches all the way to the sea, and in clear weather, you can even make out the pitches of the Vélodrome stadium in the distance.

You generally arrive in the late afternoon, to enjoy the complimentary aperitif on the terrace. The place is quiet, almost cut off from the noise of the city, even though the center is only a few kilometers away. A soda left in the fridge on arrival, a small touch that sets the tone for the stay even before the bags have been put down.

On the ground floor, an entire room is dedicated to relaxation. The balneotherapy bathtub sits at the center, surrounded by a massage table and an essential oil diffuser. The lighting can be adjusted as desired, just like the music played in the room. It is easy to lose track of time there.

Going upstairs, you discover the house’s centerpiece. The king-size bed, backlit, faces a large glass shower. The mirrors running along the walls reflect the light throughout the bedroom. A few elements, discreet but very much present (the cage, the fitted wall), remind you that this room was designed to go beyond simple sleep.

What stands out when settling in is the absence of a television. The choice is deliberate: no screen to fill the evening, only music and conversation. For some, this will be a breath of fresh air. For others, used to falling asleep in front of a film, it will be necessary to bring a tablet or simply go along with it.

The small, discreet kitchen area makes it possible to prepare a light meal or reheat a dish without having to go back out. The terrace, shielded from view, is equally suited to morning breakfast or an afternoon nap on the loungers.

Extras are available to extend the experience (bottle of champagne, gift box, romantic package). They are not included in the base rate, so it is best to book them in advance to find them in the suite on arrival.

One final tip for the morning: have your coffee on the terrace, before the sun gets too strong on the east side. The waking city, seen from above, is worth the trip on its own.
