It is easy to get there from Cassis, La Ciotat, or Aubagne. To reach the historic center, however, it is better to have a car or a bit of patience with public transport: this is a road junction, not at the foot of the Canebière.

Parking, on the other hand, is never a problem. Huge, free, with fast and slow charging stations for electric vehicles, it fills up without ever seeming full. In the evening, after getting back late from a trip to the calanques of Cassis, you can park your car without circling around for ten minutes.

At the reception desk, open 24/7, the tone remains straightforward. You can leave your luggage in storage before check-in time, pick up a free newspaper, and meet staff who take the time to answer even after midnight.

The air-conditioned rooms accommodate one to four people, with Sweet Bed bedding included. The decor follows the brand’s cozy style, with a desk, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a full bathroom with a shower. Nothing spectacular, everything works. Wi-Fi is available everywhere, including late at night when you want to finish a film before sleeping.

On the ground floor, the shaded terrace becomes the morning meeting spot in summer. You can have your coffee there, linger a little before heading out to the Château de la Buzine or the Marcel Pagnol trails in Aubagne.

In the evening, there is no on-site restaurant, but the neighborhood makes up for it. Les 3 Palmes cinema is just a stone’s throw away, several Indian and Mediterranean restaurants cluster around the shopping center, and a vending machine with drinks and snacks waits in the lobby for late-night cravings.

For Orange Vélodrome Stadium or OM’s training center, allow five minutes by car from the parking lot. A tip for the morning: ask for your takeaway coffee as soon as the reception opens; breakfast service starts a little later on weekends.
